Testing in Capitalism

The SAT was originally designed as a tool for leveling the playing field for disadvantaged students, but its effectiveness has been questioned as wealthier families find ways to game the system. While standardized tests can provide a common ground for assessment, the reality is that new methods may still favor those with resources. Ultimately, the challenge lies in ensuring that any criteria used for evaluation are not culturally biased, as competition in a capitalist society will always create winners and losers.
